Hitchen Lavender Fields!

Heya!
I hope you are all okay; today’s post is going to be about
my visit to the Hitchin Lavender fields.
The Hitchin lavender fields are located in Hitchin (obviously).
There is a whole meadow of lavender and also when I went there was also a huge
patch of sunflowers and things like wild flowers.
There is also a café on site where you can sit and relax or
plenty of picnic areas also if you want to bring something of your own. As well
as being able to buy lavender from the shop there you can also pick your own.
For around £4 you are given a large brown bag and some
cutting sheers/scissors so you can pick your lavender. There is also a trail
you can follow if you don’t want to go picking and want to have a nice dog walk
in the sun or something like that.
The Lavender is set out in a meadow on a slight hill and there
are actually different varieties of lavender on display. It was actually sooo
pretty and I really loved it!
After walking through the lavender and taking a lot of
pictures we went over to see the sunflowers. They were huge! They were so pretty
and I brought one to take home for 50p which is now sitting pride of place in a
vase of water in our kitchen.
After having a walk through the fields it was time to find
some shade and have our picnic. We had a browse in the shop before heading home.
It was a lovely day and a great activity for the summer. I
hope you enjoyed reading about it!
Thank you
