Hey guys,

I hope you are all well. For today's post I wanted to share with you some of my Behind the Scenes Images from a video shoot I recently went to for Fashion Show Live.

Encase you didn't already know Fashion Show Live use a 24 week based program to improve self esteem in people by using fashion, music and the arts. During the program the models get to take part and experience things such as yoga. The program is completed with a finale catwalk show which will be held on the 8th of July.

The video which was produced from this shoot which I attended will be showcased on the 8th of July at the catwalk show so make sure you get your tickets for it. You can buy them here - https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/fashion-show-live-fashionista-catwalk-show-tickets-34279786765?aff=es2

When I arrived the Broken Lens Team were setting up and the models were just beginning to get their makeup done.

Once the models makeup were done the first scene was of course then filmed. Through out the whole shoot there were several different scenes with different backdrops/locations but I'm not going to give too much away as you will get to see it on the 8th of July at the Catwalk show!

However here a few sneak preview BTS photos I took from the first scene...

The first scene also had amazing makeup on the model that was being filmed. Again here is a little sneak preview of what the look was...

Here is a sneak preview of the second scene set up -

Whilst on set we also took the opportunity to get some BTS shots and some images for the Fashion Show Live Social pages.

During the shoot some of the models also had a change in Makeup looks.

There where several other scenes (one of them featured below) however we want the video to still be a surprise when you see it on the 8th of July so today's post is more about a few pictures opposed to me going in depth about what happened and what we did.

If you do want to have a little bit more of a sneak peak at the behind the scenes shoot if you haven't already seen it I did vlog some of it and you can watch that here- https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DP8METG8BQM

But if you want to see the real thing and not only that a catwalk show as well as lots more make sure you come to the Fashion Show Live Catwalk Show on the 8th of July and remember you can get your tickets here- https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/fashion-show-live-fashionista-catwalk-show-tickets-34279786765?aff=es2

I am also thinking about writing a more controversial blog post all about my thoughts on social media, very much inspired by Fashion Show Live and was wondering if this is something you guys would be interested in reading about?

All the people who were involved in making the video shoot so great links are below and I would also just like to say how professional and high standard everything about the shoot was and a special thank you to Broken Lens Group who filmed and produced the whole thing.

Thank you for reading!

Hey Guys,

I hope you are all well. So I thought I would share with you guys some photos of where I am staying whilst I am at uni. I hope you enjoy.

As most of you probably know I am currently at Falmouth University but my accommodation is based in Penryn. Which is a small little town next to Falmouth.

Because the weather in Cornwall is typically warmer due to it being closer to the sea there are some really nice plants in and around where I live.

There are also some really cute houses.

Further down from the Uni you can walk into the town center where there is the high street with some cute little shops and places like the village hall.

Continuing the walk down from the shop you get to Penryn harbour. Which is really cute.

Here are some pictures of me at the harbor. I am wearing Zara Dungarees with a basic sol cal tee and my Kanken backpack.

Only a quick little post today but I wanted to share with you guys a little bit about where I am staying and some of my pictures. I hope you guys enjoyed!

Hey guys,

I hope you are all doing so well, it feels like forever since I have wrote a post like this so apologies if I am a bit rusty. Anyway in today's post I am going to be talking about the iconic looks from this years Met Gala and my opinions on the looks. You might not agree with me on my views on the looks but these looks were certainly iconic at this years Met Gala.

So Lets get into it....

Lets start of with a little into about what the Met gala is and what the theme was this year. So for those of you who don't know the Met Gala is a fundraising gala which is held annually to benefit the metropolitan museum of arts costume institute in New York and marks the annual opening of their fashion exhibit.

This years theme was Rei Kawakubo/Commes Des Garcons. Rei Kawakubo is the first living designer since Yves Saint Laurent in 1983 to be the sole subject of the met. (So its a pretty big deal) She is known as one of the most influential designers of our time.

Now of course the first person I am going to talk about is the one and only Rihanna. Weather you love them or hate them in my opinion she is the queen of Met gala looks and she certainly doesn't bore!

This year Rihanna did not fail to impress. She came dressed in Comme Des Garcons which was of course most suited to this years theme. One of the key things about this look other than of course the iconic outfit is the fact the whole look coincides with what she is wearing and in my opinion just makes it so iconic. So I know a lot of people maybe didn't like this look but personally I love it and think it works on all levels. Its creative, put together, fashion forward (very much like Rei Kawakubos designs) and theme appropriate.

Next up is none other than Cara Delevingne. I also personally liked this look. I did feel it was fitting for the theme however it would have slightly more suited last years futuristic vibes. Having said that can we just talk about her hair for a second. The boldness of that totally slays the braveness that Rei Kawakubo has within her.

There was then of course Nicki Minaj. Now what I loved about her look was the fact she mixed the theme with her own style which I think is an impressive sign of her identity and it worked well. It was cohesive and put together well.

Katy Perry of course also produced an iconic look for this years Met Gala. Head to toe in Red she really did wow. I really felt that the boldness of the colour represented the theme well. Her outfit was fashion forward and innovative and even though its not my kind of style I still think it looked so incredible.

Now we can't of course miss out Zendaya. Someone who also never fails to impress with her red carpet looks. The whole look fit together really well and she tried something different and unexpected which I think really worked with the concept of the theme.

Ashley Graham was another one who stole the show. Extenuating her curves she really worked with this years theme in a fashionable way yet still was theme appropriate,

To follow up to this Claire Danes really went for an experiment this year. It was going to be hard to top her last years light up dress but going with this years theme she really did take a risk with the innovation of the pattern cutting used in the shirt she wore and the fact that she didn't actually wear a dress and she wore trousers and I personally think she pulled it off really well. It may not have been visually the boldest but it still was bold and I like it.

Now last but certainly not least can we just talk about Tracee Ellis Ross look. She took the theme on board and stunned in a Comme Des Garcons piece. It was different and not something to usually be seen on a red carpet or not and weather you liked it or not ( I did) you cant deny that this met the theme so well!

There was of course many more talked about looks at this years Met Gala that I haven't mentioned and mainly because I wanted to focus on the looks that really complemented this years theme. But if you did want to look at some of the more talked about looks there was of course Kylie and Kendall Jenner and Bella Hadid as well as Ruby Rose and Selena Gomez, just to mention a few.

Overall this years Met Gala Included a lot of red! Its a colour which is not my personal fav on me but it is such a striking colour and I really felt the colour worked with the theme well through its representations.

I hope you guys have all enjoyed having a little read!

Thank you so much for all the support!

Heya!

I hope you guys are all super well!

Today for you guys I have another #OOTD post (outfit of the day). So before I start waffling lets get into it.

The outfit I chose to wear this day consisted of a stripy ribbed multi colored top tucked into a brown zip front faux suede a line skirt which was paired with thick black tights, black doc martens a denim jacket and accompanied by a calico tote bag.

It was an average day in the studio at uni so I wanted to look put together but also comfortable. I firstly chose my brown suede skirt to go with my ribbed stripped top as I felt the colours went really well together. I also thought they look super sophisticated yet they were both still very comfy. It was a warm day however it was still breezy out so I wore black tights and matched these with my very comfortable black doc martens. To create a casual look I wore my denim jacket and this also kept me warm. As there where quiet a few colours going on in this outfit I wore a brown cord around my neck as a tie choker to pull the brown colours together; this also complimented my glasses. As well as this I chose a lip colour to match the pink tones in my top and my nails also matched the blues within my top also.

I hope you guys all enjoyed having a little read about my outfit of the day.

Hey guys,

I hope you are all doing well. Today for you guys I have another #OOTD post (outfit of the day).

So lets get straight into it....

For this outfit as you can see in the picture I chose to wear a denim jacket with a green printed straight skirt and a black bodysuit top along with some thick black tights and some small chunky heeled boots.

This was an outfit which I wore in the evening. My friends were going out into town and before that where going for drinks at the campus bar. I wasn't going out in town with them so didn't really want to dress up, however because they were all dressed up I thought I'd make myself look a little bit niceish haha.

I chose a sleeveless bodysuit to wear so that if I felt really under dressed I could take off my jacket and would look a lot more dressy however it is still a super comfy item of clothing. I then wore one of my casual but smart skirts as I felt like this was a nice in-between. It also made the outfit look slightly less boring due to the print. I wore thick black tights as it was the evening so I didn't want to get cold and I chose a jacket for the same reason, I also felt this made the outfit look more casual. I then completed the look with some slightly heeled boots so I looked dressed up but not like I was going for a night out.

I hope you enjoyed reading about my #OOTD.

Hey guys,

I hope you are all doing super well, I have decided for part of my blog I am going to do regular #OOTD posts. For those of you who are not aware of what this means it is outfit of the day. I thought it would be quiet nice to do this as very often when outfit posts are on blogs they are very often not that realistic of what someone might wear on a daily basis and admittedly I do love those kind of blog posts however I wanted to do something more genuine. Because of this some of the outfits which might feature may not be the most 'stylized' but they will be reflective of the kind of thing I wear on a daily basis and of course what my style is like. I'm going to keep the outfit posts short and sweet so that I can do some really detailed posts on other topics but I thought this would be a nice little extra touch to my blog.

So lets get started on my first #OOTD post!

This is an outfit which I wore for a standard day at Uni when I was working in the studio. We had a Mac class so I was going to be sat at the computers for a while.

I wore an over-sized blue woolen jumper from Pringle and tucked it into a blue denim a-line buttoned paneled skirt from Topshop. I then paired this with black 80 denier tights and my black Doc Martens.

At first I was skeptical about the black and blue combination together as it is not something which often works. However I was pleased with it in the end. I chose a plain calico tote bag to accompany this outfit as I did want to introduce another colour into the mix.

I chose this outfit as the jumper is super cosy and being sat at a computer for most of the day I wanted to be comfortable. I also opted for a skirt as I find tights super comfy. I know that's a controversial subject for some as some people find trousers way more comfy but I feel wearing tights makes me feel a lot more free and also makes me feel more put together as it adds a feminine dressed up touch even when wearing something super casual like an over-sized jumper.

I hope you enjoyed reading a little bit about my #OOTD. Let me know what you think! See you next time.
