Heya!

I'm back and today's post is an outfit post which will particularly be focusing on the camel coat look.

So let's get started! The camel colour is hugely popular at the moment and has been worn regularly by several of the Kardashian's. One of the key high street trends the colour has been seen on is the tailored duster style women's coats. Much like the one my friend Brittany is wearing in the pictures.

This duster style coat is very popular at the moment with both high street fast fashion and ready-to-wear branded clothing. It is a perfect item for keeping you warm in the winter weather yet still making sure you look on trend at the same time. I personally love this style coat. I think it looks really professional and completes an outfit.

For this outfit Brittany has paired her camel coloured coat with a light brown knitted jumper. The light brown colour compliments the camel colour really nicely and adds depth to the outfit by bringing in another shade of the similar colour. This creates a harmonious look. The knitted style of the jumper also provides extra warmth for winter weather as well as adding another on trend style.

To accompany the outfit Brittany has worn skinny fit black Joni jeans. Joni jeans are the perfect option for any kind of outfit. They are both casual but also look smart due to the fit and colour. A perfect option to pair a knitted jumper with.

For shoes Brittany wore slightly heeled style boots. These are a major high street trend at the moment. They are so versatile in terms of what you can wear them with. They go with pretty much anything. In this case Brittany's are black which matches the jeans perfectly. This particular pair also have a slightly suede look to them which makes them a double trend item. I personally think Brittany's pair are super fab because the heel/platform is not too high which means they are totally wearable for day to day wear yet they still look slightly more dressed up and smart.

To accessorize Brittany has added a small and very pretty silver pendant necklace as well as some silver classy rings. This makes the look more feminine and creates a more sophisticated look.

I hope you liked this weeks outfit post! I of course will be back next week but with a slightly different post. Thank you all for reading!

Heya!

I am back, today's post is slightly different but I wanted to let you guys know about what I have been up to recently so I thought I would share with you one of the things I did this weekend.

There have actually been a lot of things which I have done recently which is why I have only been able to blog once a week. But hopefully I will get to catch up with you all soon about everything. So let's get started!

Now last Saturday I went to a women's rights protest in London. I actually went because I wanted to get some primary research pictures for my textiles. I am doing my work in textiles around the theme politics so I really wanted to get some first hand inspiration.

Now I had never actually been to a protest before so this was my first experience! The protest started on Oxford Street just outside of Selfridges. The march was formed of lots of different groups which had come together to stand up for women's rights.

Seeing everyone marching together and chanting for women was very empowering and I am really glad I got to experience it. The march is held annually every year. I thought it was a very appropriate post for today as international women's day is tomorrow.

The protest was actually very big many people joined in and the march lead all the way up to Trafalgar square where a rally was then held.

My trip was really successful as I was able to capture some create photos which I will definitely be able to use for my textiles.

Today's post has been very short but I wanted to make sure I didn't miss out on a post and I wanted to let you all know what I have been up to. In the next few weeks I may also have slightly shorter posts as deadlines are approaching and exams are just around the corner so I have a lot of work to do. Anyway I hope you are all well and enjoyed this slightly different read today. I will be back soon. Thanks for reading!

Heya!

I'm back again and today's post is going to be my last outfit post with the mono mix theme! I would also like to apologies for not posting in what feels like forever! (even though its only been a week) anyway my internet has been down so I haven't been able to post anything. Well I better get started. Today's outfit I styled on my friend Aimee who as you will see has silver hair, very convenient for a mono mix post! It is also a more of a grunge style outfit which I thought some of you might be interested in.

To create an edgy look I chose a wardrobe essential to style Aimee. Yes of course a classic black leather jacket! I love these as they are so great for any style outfit and can worn both dressy and casual. To give it a more styled and grungy look Aimee opted for rolled up sleeves which just makes the jacket look slightly unique.

For Aimee's top we choose a black and white mono printed shirt. Printed shirts are literally one of my favorite things. Once again you can dress them up or down and I honestly think they are so versatile. Because this post is for a more edgy style we choose to have the shirt tucked out. I think this also created a nice look with the leather jacket as it was slightly longer which again helped create an edgy look.

For jewelry we didn't want to overpower this look because it would have created a more punk style rather than grunge. Instead I chose to accessories Aimee with silver; this was because the detailing on her jacket was a dark silver in colour so I thought it would compliment it well. In terms of jewelry we chose a pendant charm necklace as this made the look slightly more feminine but still fitted in with the theme. To keep a edgy style Aimee also wore a silver/grey nose ring.

In terms of Aimee's hair it was already pretty cool. I mean look how amazing the colour is! Anyway to just create a more stylish look Aimee styled her hair in a half up do bun. This created a free spirited hairstyle with an edge.

For shoes we opted for the classic black ankle boots. Ankle boots are again one of my favorite things as they can be worn with almost anything. For this look the boots were also leather which created a create combo for the jacket and also a more rebellious choice.

This is has been my outfit post on a mono mix edgy look. I hope you have enjoyed it! Thanks so much for having a read and the support!

Heya!

I am back yet again with another Mono Mix outfit post! Today's outfit is a slightly smarter look which has been styled around a white shirt. I thought this would be a great post to do because most people have a white shirt and they can be worn in so many different ways so I thought I'd do a post on how I would style a white shirt to look slightly smart but also something you could wear as an every day look. So lets get started!

Ella's white shirt is actually a really great one as it has a more casual look to it due to the fabric and type of buttons but of course it is a shirt so still looks smart. I think if you have a shirt like this its super great because it can be dressed up or down.

Anyway I styled this shirt unbuttoned at the top as it gives it a more laid back look. I also went for a tucked in look as I think it makes the outfit look more professional and thought about!

I paired the white shirt with some black skinny jeans. These look super professional combined with the shirt but also provide a more comfortable look.

To accessorize I chose a charm necklace. This I think just gave the outfit that little extra something. I think small pendant necklaces are great for a small accessory to make an outfit look slightly more feminine.

A necklace like this is also really easy item you can constantly change up. For example Ella has several little charms and changes them up depending on the look she wants. This can be made using an old necklace chain you don't want. By doing this you can have several different necklaces and have a different style for each outfit. I personally love this penny style charm as its quiet unique but also still elegant.

Now I normally just do a post about the outfit but I thought for this look the makeup and hair makes such a significant difference to the look I'll mention it briefly; and of course all credits to Ella for the makeup and hair as it was all done by her.

So Ella styled her hair with a half up-do look. The hair which was down looked really nice because the curls were natural looking. The hair that was up was then put into a bun which I think made it look really sophisticated. I think a hairstyle like this was perfect for the look as it looked professional yet also super fashionable and of course looked like a lot of effort had been put in. Also the hairstyle meant that Ella's hair was out of her face so perfect for a working day!

The makeup was also perfect I think for this look as it was a natural kind of foundation look so it didn't look over done but then the lipstick totally gave the look a bit of glam!

Anyway I hope you have enjoyed this post! I will be back very soon with another! Thank you so much for reading!

Heya!

I am back again, woo! Wow can you believe it I have posted three times this week! I hope you are not bored of me yet! Anyway today is another Mono Mix outfit post. Today's post however is a cosy and casual outfit post. I mean I think everyone has them days when they just want a super comfy outfit; so I thought why not do a comfy but cute outfit post!

For this look although my Mono Mix posts have mainly been based around only black and white items I figured grey was in that colour scheme so this outfit as you will tell from the images also has a grey theme to it!

So firstly for this outfit I chose a cute little grey sweatshirt! This is actually Ella's Disney Jumper which I think is super cute because It's sophisticated but it's obviously Disney so is super cute at the same time!I love grey sweatshirts like this; I actually have one from Jessie J's merchandise and honestly it is so comfy but looks kind of polished at the same time. I guess opposed to a hoodie it just makes your outfit look a bit more sophisticated and put together even though it is still a lazy day kind of look.

Although you cant really see in the photos I paired the grey sweatshirt with some skinny black jeans. You can't go wrong with skinny fit black jeans! They literally go with almost anything and can be styled for any kind of look, also perfect for college!

For shoes I chose the classic black with white detailing vans. Vans are an easy option for something like college. They are comfy and practical but also of course a fashionable item also!

I hope that you all like this outfit! A different style outfit to what I would normally post but I thought sometimes Its good to be realistic and we all have them days where we just want to cosy and casual!

Thank you as always for reading! I hope you enjoyed it!

Heya!

I'm back again! I hope you are all well! Today is another mono mix outfit post. Woo! This is actually probably my favourite Mono Mix outfit I have styled.  Anyway let me get on with it!

The key feature of this look is the black dungarees. These were cropped dungarees which were skinny fitting on the leg. A statement piece but also very classic due to the black colouring. Underneath the dungarees I picked a simple white tee to form a mono mix look and create a colour contrast against the black dungarees and make the outfit look slightly more lighter. The tee also had a cute little cactus logo which I think adds a slight quirkiness.

I picked a monochrome scarf to add to the outfit as not only did this complete the colour scheme but I felt it just gave the outfit that little extra accessory that it needed to look like the outfit had been properly styled. I love this scarf because it is the perfect size. Not too chunky but also long enough to create a layered cozy look. The print on it also creates a more graphic look!

For shoes I styled Ella wearing white converse! Who doesn't love white converse? They are so practical yet also so stylish. I think they were a great option for this outfit as they give the outfit a casual street style vibe but also are a key trend item!

This is actually one of my favourite Mono Mix outfits I styled. Probably because I love street style! Oh and I am also obsessed with dungarees and white tees! If you don't have dungarees then I recommend you get some! They are such a statement piece but literally go with anything and complete an outfit in seconds! They are also super comfy as well as fashionable!

Anyway I hope you liked this post! Thank you so much for reading!

Heya!

I'm back today with another outfit post! I actually have a few planned and will be posting a series of these; also for the next month I will be posting more than once a week! Woo! (hopefully you wont get bored of me). So lets get started.

I have been on several photo-shoots with my friend Ella. I have styled her using a Mono Mix theme. Due to this the look has been put together with monochrome blacks and white colouring in mind. I also had a winter walk outfit in mind when styling Ella for this look. I hope you like it!

For Ella's outfit I firstly chose a casual day dress. I picked a white dress with standard black horizontal stripes. I loved this dress because its an easy comfy outfit but also so cute and makes an outfit look a little bit more girly. I paired this dress with a black parka style coat with a fluffy trim around the hood. The coat was perfect as it provides warmth perfect for winter walk but also looks smart and cosy at the same time. To complete the look I added a maroon snood. The snood was obviously not monochrome but I think it added a bit extra to the look and provided a stylish but warm addition.

I think the outfit is a super cute and cosy look. Perfect for a winter walk.

I hope you enjoyed the post, thank you so much for reading!
