Heya!

I hope you are all okay! Can you believe this is my third post this week! Wow its not even the holidays, I must be on a roll! Anyway today's post is a lifestyle post because I wanted to share with you what I got up to this weekend! I don't often get to go out in the day because I have lots of work to do for college. However this weekend after all my mocks and deadlines I thought why not have a little time off!

We decided to go to the Galleria which is a shopping center in Hertfordshire. I've actually never been before and seen as I live so close I thought why not? Plus it was just really nice to spend some time with my family! I was actually really excited because it felt like I hadn't been out in forever.

We arrived at around 1;00pm so decided to have a spot of lunch first. There was actually a great selection of restaurants at the galleria it was almost hard to choose but in the end we chose good ol' Pizza Express because you cant go wrong with somewhere that makes pasta! Plus I just love pizza express! I ordered 'Pollo Pesto' which is a pasta dish with pesto sauce, chicken, mushrooms and some veggies! I am actually so gutted I didn't take a picture! I always take a picture of my food so can't believe I forget! Anyway the meal was super nice despite feeling very full up afterwards!

After lunch we went to do some shopping! Or at least have a look around! There were several shops but the two I brought things from were TK Maxx and Calvin Klein, I brought a new smoothie bottle from Tx maxx which was pink! Woo! and from Calvin Klein I got some underwear, and may I just say Calvin Klein underwear is honestly the best. Although that is for another post! Haha

We ended up heading home at around 4;30. Anyway I had a really lovely day so I thought why not share it with you guys! Hope you enjoyed this kind of post. Thanks for reading!

Heya!

I hope you are all well. Today's post is slightly different to my normal post. I guess it will also be a little bit shorter! Today's post is an outfit post! This was one of the things I really wanted to do when starting my blog! I have put it off for so long as I don't really have the facilities or equipment to take the photos I would have liked. However, I've been so desperate to do an outfit post I thought why not just go for it? My iPhone quality will have to do!

The outfit this post is about is what I wore on Sunday. I went to church and after stayed for a shared lunch where I got to catch up with some of my family and church friends.

So here's my outfit-

Light Grey Thin Long Sleeve Jumper - Zara

Faux Fur Coat - Red Herring

Patterned Green, Black and White Skirt - River Island

Thick 100 denier tights - BHS

Cross of Nails Pendant - Silver Fish Jewelry

The Jumper from Zara I love because it is one of those wardrobe essentials that goes with anything and can be dressed both up or down and can be worn all year around!

The coat is one of my winter favorites! I have had it for years and it is just so soft! I love how it can make an outfit look so much more sophisticated.

The skirt from River Island I got in the sale which of course I could not resit. Its also something which I have found I can wear both in the day and in the evening which is really practical.

Thick black tights are a must for me in the winter. Especially if you are like me and own lots of skirts and dresses! Mine are from BHS as its not easy to find really thick tights for a good price! I swear by my BHS tights I literally hardly ever ladder my tights when they are from BHS!

Finally my pendant is from a company called silver fish. I love this necklace it is a statement piece but very elegant!

Quite a simple outfit for me but still something I like. It looks both smart and casual. It is also comfortable too so a great option for church or many other occasions.

Hope you have enjoyed having a little read!

Heya!

Now firstly I would like to start by apologising for not uploading a post last Monday! It was the week of my mock exams and all my deadlines so I was super busy and wanted to make sure I gave that my full attention! However I am back this week and today’s post is going to be a kind of review I guess you could say.

So the brand today’s post is going to be about is Adanola! Now I first became aware of this company when I went to the clothes show where they had a stand. They seemed pretty cool they had a photo booth in their stand which of course everyone loved! And obviously they were selling there items as well as promoting their brand. Adanola sell active wear which I guess most people know as sportswear. I had a little look at the clothes show at some of their items but I had already spent way too much! The photo booth was free though! How great! Anyway long story short at the bottom of my picture I had from the photo booth Adanola Instagram tag was printed so I gave them a follow to find out a bit more about them!

Now over Christmas they ran a few giveaway competitions. How cool, right? I mean who doesn’t love free stuff! I also think giveaways are just a great opportunity to get more people to know about your brand. Well anyway I entered one of the competitions and I was extremely lucky to win one of them! I was super chuffed to say the least! The giveaway competition I won was a £50 voucher to spend on the Adanola site on whatever I wanted! How exciting! Now I honestly found it really hard to pick what I wanted! And not because I didn’t want anything but because I wanted everything! Haha! I decided that I wanted a whole outfit! I mean what the heck I had 50 whole pounds to spend on what I liked! There were a couple of options, however I ended up choosing the classic black option because I felt like this would be a lot more wearable and would be easier to repeat wear due to the colour. I chose the sports leggings and a sports bra. I went for these two as I already have loads of sports tops and I only had one pair of sports leggings and I didn’t actually have a sports bra! The sports bra was £24 and the leggings were £35! Okay so some people who are into the sports will probably understand that this is a reasonable price. However if you are not and your thinking wow that’s a lot of money! Well, the Adanola brand is a luxury active wear brand so the items are really nice and you defiantly get what you pay for! Which in this case means there products are very good.

I put through my order and now it was just a case of waiting for it to arrive! My delivery came nice and quick and was a tracked order so I was able to make sure I was defiantly going to receive it! Once it came I’m not going to lie I was extremely excited! It did not disappoint and let me just say the packaging was really lovely. My two items were individual wrapped with the brands packaging and both of these came in another bag with a little message from the company on, which I think made it extra special and really made me smile!

Now you know me I took pictures of it all first! But after this without any hesitation I tried it all on! I mean come on wouldn’t you? I don’t know what it is but I just get a real exctiment when opening and receiving deliveries, I think the anticipation of waiting for it to come just gets me more interested to see what it’s like in person! Now I must admit I’m not one of those people who always shops online because let’s not lie there can be there disadvantages like not knowing if it will fit etc. I was slightly worried about that but as soon as I tried it on all my doubts were gone! Both items fitted perfectly! I think that’s the great thing about active wear too it’s hard to go wrong with sizing!

Anyway I firstly tried the sports leggings. They were super nice and really comfy to wear! They gave a lovely tight fitting but were very flexible so great for any sports! I was worried that the leggings would be too long because I’m quiet short! But the size I ordered fitted me nicely both on my wait and my legs.

Now the next thing of course I tried on was the sports bra! This also fitted really well and was super comfy! It was also very secure so perfect for any sporting activities! It also has a lovely design on the back so would look great without a top but also totally suitable to wear underneath a top depending on what kind of sports you are doing and where.

I was super pleased with my new Adanola active wear and couldn’t resist doing a post to share with you all! I know it’s a bit late considering I won the competition in December however I thought now was the perfect time for the post as lent is tomorrow! Wow that came around quick! Some of you might not do lent, however I do. This year I wanted to try taking something up as well as going without something to give myself a challenge. This year I have decided to really try to stay healthy and part of that involves exercising! So I will definitely be using my active wear from Adanola a lot!!

Anyway I hope you enjoyed having a little read and thank you as always! I really appreciate all the support I get towards my blog! See you next Monday! (Or who knows maybe before that if I pull my socks up)

Heya!

This week I thought I'd do a little post to let you know what I've been up to do as its coming to end of this month. January has been a very busy and hectic month for me but one of the things I really enjoying was a super relaxing spa day at centre parcs! We went for my friends 18th birthday and it was so lovely I thought I'd share a little bit about it with you guys!

We went in the afternoon so we could have a little wander around Centre parcs first! So when we arrived we took a little stroll to the Centre parcs winter wonderland which was really cute! I love cute little winter displays and Centre parcs was the perfect location for it! There were reindeer's, lit up Christmas trees, and cute displays! Can I also just add I can't even tell you how excited Centre parcs makes me, it is just so amazing! Its basically like being in a luxury version of nature. Trees and leaves everywhere and it just makes me happy to be honest!

Oh and I forgot to add there were around six of us that went which made it super fun! After our little adventure around Centre parcs we went to warm up and have a lovely meal at Hucks bar and grill. I had grilled salmon which was so yummy! We then all sang happy birthday to Ella and even the princess joined in haha!

After we were done at the restaurant it was spa time! Yay! We got in our robes and got ready! The Centre parcs we went to has an amazing spa with luxurious facilities so I was really excited. The first room we all went in was somewhere to rejuvenate our feet! We then went in all other kinds of rooms, steam rooms, rain rooms, saunas, ice rooms and all sorts! All the rooms where themed one of my favourites was the blossom room! They were all so calm and relaxing. The spa also had an outdoors heated swimming pool as well as water beds and relaxation hammock rooms. It was so amazing! I'm so glad i got to spend it with my favourite girls! Before the end of the day we also shared some lovely chocolate cake together to celebrate Ella's 18th! A truly wonderful day!

I hope you all have a had some good memories this month too! Sorry its been just a short post this week because I have been very busy with deadlines but never the less thank you for reading!

Heya!

I’m back again! This week I wanted to share with you what I am inspired by. Now this is always changing and I am inspired by lots of things but at the moment I have been looking into the concept of personality for part of my textiles theme and recently I have been really inspired by confetti crowd.

So who are confetti crowd? Well they are a girl gang of creativities and they have a super sassy and bold style. Confetti crowd is made up of five unique individuals, Heidi, Lulu, Heli, Tiger and Cheyenne. Each of them brings something different to the crowd. Heidi is a singer/songwriter, Lulu is a fashion designer, Heli is owner of sassy world, Tiger is a fashion photographer and Cheyenne is a DJ and presenter. They are also all fashion bloggers who are making their mark around the world. They even create YouTube videos and have their own website.

Confetti Crowd is really well known for their bright, bold and unique dress sense. This was something which I was really interested by. Without even knowing them their eccentric style immediately introduces them and their personalities.

The confetti crowd may be well known for their bright and crazy clothes but it’s not just their jobs that are different. All of them have their own unique identity within their style. The confetti crowd often refer to them as sassy spice girls and they have their own personality for each member.

Tiger- cowgirl confetti

Heidi- Rainbow confetti

Lucy- sassy confetti

Cheyenne- Ghetto confetti

Helena- Vintage confetti

What I love about Confetti Crowd is that they completely ignore fashion rules yet they are some of the most fashionable girls. I mean clashing prints was once a big no, but the confetti crowd girl’s completely ignore this rule and their clothes look 10x more exciting and fun; and who said that bright colours were only for summer? Well that certainly doesn’t apply for confetti crowd. They are not afraid to layer up multiple statement items and trends too! The confetti crowd girls wear clothes from all eras but still look on trend and always stylish. Their confidence in their clothing creates a powerful girl power image and showcases there bright and vibrant personalities before you even get to know them.
They dare to be different and this is something which initially interested me about my textiles theme of personalities. But what I find interesting about confetti crowd is they do this through fashion.

I literally can’t express the excitement their clothes bring me. Their fashion creates and ora of positivity through the bold colours which is something that really inspires me. Their clothes involve sequins and shiny tassels which sparkle and make the outfits look creative and glamorous.

There style for me represents independence and this is something which I am really inspired by, and I mean come on, their clothes are just amazing to look at! Let alone their interesting identities!

I hope you have enjoyed hearing a little bit about what it was that inspired me and a bit about the sassiest girls around in fashion at the moment. Hopefully one day I will have a wardrobe of clothes just as fab! Thanks for reading!

Heya!

So I’m back for my Monday post. This week I am going to be doing a post which I really should have done a while ago but oh well I have finally got round to it.

So let’s get started! This post is going to be about all the Barry m products I got at the clothes show. So a kind of haul I guess, except it wasn’t really a haul because I actually brought a goodie bag and didn’t choose what was inside it. However never the less I still love all of the products. I brought one of these for myself and one for someone for a Christmas present (partly why this is such a delayed post). Anyway I’m going to be going through what I got in my goodie bag and my thoughts on the product.

First things first my products all came in a cute little Light pink Barry M makeup bag which is great because light pink goes with everything. It is a zip as well which makes it practical and the size is also perfect not too big or too small so this will indeed come in very handy!

Now let’s get started on what I actually got inside my Barry M bag! Of course they are all Barry M products and the first thing was an eye shadow. This is a nude/rose pink colour and would be great for a base colour or for blending. I haven’t used this product yet but I’m sure I will because the colour is so practical for every day and it looks really cute! I also love that it has a transparent lid so it’s easy to see what colour it is in my makeup bag!
The second thing I got was also an eye shadow but in a different shade. This was a grey colour so would be fab for blending to create a Smokey eye effect. It also has a nice little shimmer to it which is perfect for a party look.

The next thing I got was also an eye product but something a little bit different! This was actually a type of eyeliner but in a felt tip form. Now I haven’t used this exact one but I’ve had a similar one before and loved it because it’s so easy to to apply evenly so I’m super excited to try this out.

The last eye related makeup product I got in my Barry M makeup bag was purple eyeliner. Okay so a lot of you probably think why would you want a purple eyeliner but personally I love a bold eyeliner colour for an under the eye look when going out. I also have a lot of clothes which purple eyeliner compliments well. As well as this Barry M is my favourite make for pencil eyeliner so I was really happy with this product!

I also got a super shiny light pink/nude lip gloss in a tube form which was a really nice colour. I personally wear lipsticks more than lip-gloss but because of the pale colour and tube form this will be great to give an extra shine to put on top of a lipstick.

I also got another lip-gloss in my Barry M bag which is more of a pinky colour and is really nice to apply and gives a lovely shine. I was really pleased with this product and if lipstick is something you like then I would defiantly recommended this to you.

Okay so the other things I got in my Barry M goodie bag were nail polishes. I love Barry M nail polishes so I was super happy about these. I was also really pleased that these were random because I always seem to go for the same colours so this was a great way to get the chance to wear a nail polish colour I don’t normally get too.

The first one is a gel effect nail polish which is great because it means it will look professional when applied and give a natural shine. The colour was also a dark brown which is one I didn’t already have so will be great for me to try out. I also have a lot of brown clothes so this will go really well with them.

The next coloured polish I got was a sparkly pink. Yay! I love pink, and sparkly pink is just probably one of the best things ever! This is a really lovely colour and the sparkle in it is blended really well with ht polish so it will still apply evenly and also look glossy!

This one I got was also a different kind of polish. It was part of the Barry m silk collection which gives the polish a metallic shine to it. The colour is a subtle baby blue but with the silk shimmer it makes it look quite special. This is also a colour I don’t already have so was super pleased this came in my bag.

In my bag I also got a gold sparkly polish which was perfect in time for Christmas. Now I’m not going to lie this one doesn’t really apply that evenly because of the large size of the glitter however it does work great as a second coat.

I also got a limited edition coloured polish. This was similar to a lot of colours I already have but never the less I still love it! Something that may be isn’t suitable for this time of year but will be perfect for the summer and I can’t wait to try it out!

Last but not least I got a green nail polish! Now I don’t actually think I own a green polish. It’s just not really my kind of colour but I was so pleased I got this one because it’s something I wouldn’t choose to purchase but would love to try out. This polish also has a matte effect which is also great because I didn’t own any matte polishes and I have wanted to try one for ages and now I have finally got the chance!

That’s all that was in my Barry M bag! A short post this week but never the less I hope you enjoyed! I’ll be back next Monday for another post and once again thank you so much for reading!

Heya

It's Monday so I am here for my blog posts! I am sorry it's very late but I have been ill this week so I am bit behind but never the less I couldn't miss out my post! So as I'm sure you are all aware it is the New Year so I thought why not do something a little different this week. So normally my blog is more fashion focused but this week I wanted to do a post about New Year’s resolutions. Some of you may not do New Year resolutions and some of you may ether way that's what I am going to talk about. Who knows you might even find some of the things I am going to try taking up a good New Year’s resolution to take up for yourself! Now I am not saying I am going to stick to all of these but there are a few I deffo am going to persevere with but I thought I would share with you all of the ones which I thought were a good idea!

So let's get started now I am not going to lie to you a lot of them, well most of them in fact are health related. But I mean our health is something most of us should give a lot more attention to in order to look after ourselves. I am going to be sharing 10 New Year’s resolutions with you on these posts which I think are a great idea.

1.    Drink more water.

The first goal I want to set myself for New Years is to drink more water. I feel like this is something most people also need to set themselves to do because most of us just don’t drink enough of it. It’s something that we forget we should be doing and put it to this side as one of those things that doesn’t matter. But it does and is actually one of the easiest things we can do. Firstly you don’t have to give anything up for this resolution. Secondly this one is free! So you have no excuse, it’s a resolution which really requires hardly any effort but is something which will make a big impact on your life. Drinking lots of water also has so many health benefits. Firstly it clears up your skin! (If you are anything like me you will try anything to make sure this will happen.) Secondly you will feel more awake and alert for your day which probably will result in you getting more things done in the day. Drinking water obviously also keeps you hydrated which is a major plus for many reasons. And let’s not forget drinking water makes you less likely to want something else to drink like a sugary drink which is bad for you for so many other reasons. So if you are a busy person who wasn’t really thinking about taking anything up this year this is one you should at least try.

2.    Exercise

Secondly of course exercise. Now this is a well known one for New Year’s resolutions. I took this up last year and I actually did do it however I only lasted 6 months and I really wanted to do the whole year. I feel that even if you don’t do hard core exercise we should all set ourselves something small to do to maintain our health and fitness. Last year I went all out with the exercise routine however this year I want to be realistic so I am going to just set myself the task to maintain exercising even if that is just a simple walk and not a hardcore workout.

3.    Keep on top of skin care and body care

Skin care is something I am quite big on but for people who aren’t the New Year is the perfect time to start this. Personally I use Clinique for skin care but I feel that it is trial and error for what works best for your skin and eventually you will find the perfect thing. If skin care is something you are keen to find out more about then I may do a separate post about my personal routine. Although I already have a skin care routine I am still going to work towards maintaining this. But not only that, I also want to work on my body care this year. By this I mean moisturising my skin, exfoliating etc. This is something I am actually not very good at doing at the moment. Although I look after my face when it comes to skin care I often neglect areas such as my legs which can leave them feeling drier than they should be. Moisturising and exfoliating is really simple and quick so is something I will be working to improve on this year. In this I also want to include looking after my feet. Many of us don’t like touching feet etc and as a result our feet are probably one of our most neglected areas so this year I want to make sure I stay on top of keeping my feet happy, this could involve things as simple as removing dead skin, looking after my nails and moisturising.

4.    Set goals

So I have always been one for making lists and I like to be organised, part of this is involves setting goals for myself. I am actually going to do a more in depth post about this however I still wanted to include this as one of my resolutions as setting goals makes it much more easier to achieve thing and gives you more of a chance of actually doing it. One of my goals is to do something each week that will help me to achieve my ‘dream’. This is something I will expand on later but setting yourself a goal is such a simple way to help yourself move forward in life and is something lots of people don’t do because I don’t think people realise if you work towards them it can actually really help you.

5.    Learn something new

Now this is a resolution which I actually came across on twitter. It was something I hadn’t thought of but what a great idea. I am always looking for ways to ‘broaden my horizons’ and try new things. This is a really great goal to set yourself. Personally I want to learn to knit and crotchet as I think it will be a great way for me to relax and is something I will found therapeutic but will also benefit my textiles work so won’t be pointless. Now this has to be something realistic other else you will brush it to the side. For example my college is holding a knitting club so I will have the perfect opportunity to learn. This is a great goal anyone can set themselves and of course you can learn anything. It could even be as simple as learning how to make a cake!

6.  Live and breathe fashion

Now as I am sure you all already aware I love fashion. It is a major part of my life but I’ve set myself the resolution to live eat, sleep and breathe fashion. Now this is a strange saying but in basic terms what I mean by this is involve fashion in everything you do, this way you are constantly being inspired and reaching closer to your dream. At the moment as I am currently at college so am very busy, however I have still set myself small task so I can achieve this; for example everyday check the fashion news and trends and stay up to date or ahead. This can be done in ways such as reading fashion magazines, blogs, watching shows or browsing fashion apps. Of course this is also something I love to do so I know I can push to maintain this task.

7. Make clothes

Okay so this is another personal one but it is something I really want to kick start this year. So as some of you may know I studied textiles at GCSE and am currently studying the A Level at college. I have made a few bits and bobs but I really want to expand my skills of garment making in my spare time in order to become innovative and creative with what I can make so that I can use my new skills within my work. I also want to be able to wear the clothes I make and bring that in as a life style choice so I can have my own style and be sustainable.

8. Vitamins

Okay this one might sound like a bit of an odd one however I have been poorly recently with petty things like cold and flu and I really don’t want to be dragged down by feeling ill. This year I want to stay motivated and be as focused as ever. Felling ill however won’t help this and will just result in me being lazy. To prevent this I really want to try and make sure I am having a good amount of vitamins in my diet, Of course vitamins are not only good to prevent you from being ill but overall they make you feel healthier, stronger and more awake which will help you day to day but also keep you healthier in the long run. You can take vitamin supplements or you can simply make sure you are having vitamins through your diet. For example having orange juice can help to give you a healthy level of vitamin C.

9. Memories

This one is something I have been meaning to do for ages and it’s not really a resolution as such but more of a task I want to set myself. I want to create photo albums for certain events and keep scrapbook so I can look back and be thankful for all if the things I have been blessed with.

10. Be spontaneous

This may sound like a strange one but there is method to my madness! This is something I would say I don’t do a lot. I am an organised person and tend to plan when I am doing something. But I feel for enjoyment and a healthy life it would be good for me to jump outside of my comfort zone. This is a perfect new year’s resolution even though it may be slightly odd. Being spontaneous could just be as simple as going to a walk in the fresh air or could be something much more dramatic. I feel like this would make things more exciting and real. I also feel like being spontaneous is a great way to live in the moment.

So I hope you have enjoyed reading a little bit about my New Year Goals. Id love to hear from you all what you thought about this style of post as I know it was a little bit different this time! I would also love to hear about your New Years Resolutions! Thank you all for reading!
